CONGRATULATIONS to our 2024 for an outstanding season.

Team Awards for 2024

Coaches Award Womens Turf

Congratulations Ash

"Ash is always making the effort to get to training and giving her best with an eagerness to improve. She always asks plenty of questions and strives to implement her learnings into her game. She's one of our many goal scorers this year, and having her around always brings a light of positivity to the team" - Coach Jake

Fairest & Best Womens Turf

Congratulations Evie

"Our best and fairest this year is none other than Evie. I'm not sure her name was ever left off the votes from week to week. Her love of the game is infectious, and no matter what happens, there's always a big smile on her face both on and off the field.

Evie was a massive part of our midfield this year stepping up and taking on the crucial centre half position, and she looked like she was born to play the role. Her vision on and off the ball as well as her work rate lead to plenty of good opportunities forward and many great saves in the back line.

It has been great to watch her confidence grow as a player this year, and we can't wait to watch her progress as a player. " - Coach Jake

Miss Congeniality Womens Turf

Congratulations Tegan

"Tegan was our rock solid goalkeeper this year. Not much phased her, and the work she did in the goals kept the team in many a game. Her contributions during the breaks on game day always proved valuable to the team, and she had even made a pretty good cameo as a field player one game

The team loved having her as our goal guardian this year and hopefully for years to come" - Coach Jake

Runner-up Fairest & Best Womens Turf

Congratulations Ryah

"Runner up best and fairest goes to our team captain Ryah, she may play from the back but she definitely leads from the front. Her calm head in the back helped open up many opportunities for our forward line to do their thing while maintaining a strong wall in defence. The team loves her, and she's a great player and captain to have, and it's been a joy coaching her and having her as captain this year. " - Coach Jake

Runner Up Fairest & Best Mens Turf

Congratulations Tristan

"Tristan had an excellent season. His overlap run from inner provided the team with countless attacking plays, and his technical skills in defence prevented just as many from the opposition" - Coach Cale

Coaches Award Mens Turf

Congratulations Zac

"Zac's move to full back mid-season was big driver in the teams push to play finals. Zac is always prepared to adapt and put the team first" - Coach Cale

Team Player Mens Turf

Congratulations Kieran

"Kieran's flexibility in his role allowed the team to balance between offence and defence, making our whole team more dangerous" - Coach Cale

Fairest & Best Mens Turf

Congratulations Riki

"Riki was an unbelievable addition to the side this year. His gut running and tenacious tackling through the inner and half back provided the perfect fit for the side" - Coach Cale

Miss Congeniality Womens Grass

Congratulations Nina

"Nina's bubbly personality, boundless energy, no filters approach to life is like breath of fresh air.

Nina's ability to see the funny side of any situation, no matter how dour, helped relieve any tension or ill feelings.

Even though her work and family life were very hectic this year, Nina showed up every week with a smile on her face and put in the hard work. No obstacle was too big" - Coach Jen

Coaches Award Womens Grass

Congratulations Jamie

"Goalies are usually overlooked when awards are being handed out. In some games, they don't even get a touch of the ball, not in our case, though.

Jamie has grown in confidence and ability throughout the season, although she sometimes is very hard on herself, but, as the old saying goes, it has to get past 10 other players to get to her.

When asked for feedback during our games, her insight was highly valued.

Jamie has a wonderful, polite, amiable, mature

approach to hockey for someone who is so young and relatively new to the sport" - Coach Jen

Fairest & Best Womens Grass

Congratulations Jess

"Jess has a fierce determination to get to the ball, her never give up attitude, even training in the rain by herself when the rest of the team were under cover, not afraid to use her body (legitimately) and her courage not to be intimidated by bigger, older players.

Jess always took advice given to her onboard and always tried her best, not letting tiredness or not feeling the best get in her way." - Coach Jen

Runner-up Fairest & Best Womens Grass

Congratulations Evie

"Playing two games each weekend, Grass and Turf, and playing up to two games in Masters during the week. A hockey tragic. Evarna is always smiling, always positive, and willing to encourage and advise, especially younger players, in a supportive manner. I especially love her stutter step before tackling and her ability to win the ball near 100% of the time. A true team player with exceptional skills and a role model for junior players." - Coach Jen

Fairest & Best 7/8 Boys

Congratulations Zavier

"From the outside Zavier scoring 15 goals in an 11 games is an impressive season. What stats don't show is the amount of balls big herb feed to the other players, which lead to goals along with the line breaking runs he provided.

An unbelievable season" - Coach Cale

Runner-up Fairest & Best 7/8 Boys

Congratulations Riley

"Riley was awesome this year. His growth across the was a sight to behold. Riley has always been a strong runner and fearless on the ground, but his confidence in his skills and passing provided a massive contribution to his sides' success" - Coach Cale

Coaches Award 7/8 Boys

Congratulations Angus

"Gus was the team Mr fix it. Need a full back get Gus. Need run through the middle. Gus is the man. He even scored a goal this year" - Coach Cale

Fairest & Best 7/8 Girls

Congratulations Jess

"Jess isn’t just the strongest player in our side but, in my opinion, was easily the most influential player in the grade.

Her strengths are how well she reads the play, intercepts the ball, or tackles strongly, but her ability to break lines and create space and opportunity for her team is second to none.

Jess is super quick, can play any position, including goalkeeper, and always does the team thing. She quite literally runs herself into the ground.

I am sure in years to come there will be some of us watching Jess play at a super high level and will remind ourselves we watched her when she was only young and coming through, no doubt impressed with how well she has done.

Extremely good person too who is a pleasure to coach" - Coach Clint

Runner-up Fairest & Best 7/8 Girls

Congratulations B

"B really stepped up this season, finding her feet as an inside forward. Like all the players in the side, she improved throughout the season, but what really stood out with B was how well she carried the ball, which was probably as good as anyone in the grade. Her trapping and tackling was also really impressive and consistent, and she also scored 3 goals, which was a good effort for someone essentially playing midfield and not involved in corners. Great season Brigitte and no doubt at all 2025 will be even better" - Coach Clint

Coaches Award 7/8 Girls

Congratulations Nikki

"Nikki, for me, this was a fairly easy decision. Nikki’s attitude at training, before matches and during is always excellent and beyond her years.

She is a positive person instinctively, and that filters throughout hockey towards her teammates, who all adore her.

She plays her role as a defender to the best of her ability and always listens to directions for what is best for the team.

Her hockey skills and strength on the ball are good, and she will 100 percent be the type of player who improves immensely due to amazing attitude" - Coach Clint

Most improved 7/8 Girls

Congratulations Hannah

"Hannah started of the season a little slowly but once she was comfortable within the team she improved remarkably. Quite new to the game and still learning positions and hockey in general but Hannah had some really good games this year both in attack and defence.

Lovely young lady who hopefully enjoyed the season and tigers and once again I have nothing but faith in her to continue to improve" - Coach Clint

Kwinana Tigers Player of the Year Juniors

Congratulations Jess

"Jess has not only excelled in her junior season but has also played exceptionally well alongside seniors.

She is a remarkably strong player and an influential teammate. Her dedication to the sport is evident in every game she plays, showcasing a level of skill and maturity beyond her years. Coaches and fellow players alike commend her for her work ethic, sportsmanship, and the positive energy she brings to the team.

Without a doubt, Jess is a hockey player to keep an eye on in the years ahead" - Junior Co-ordinator Kristy

Highest Goal Scorer Juniors
